[Press release from Cleveland Cinemas.]
Movie lovers are invited to the Capitol Theatre (1390 W.
65th St., Cleveland) for a special Q&A with filmmaker Desiree
Akhavan following the 7:20 PM showing of her new critically-acclaimed comedy APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR on January 19th.
The Q&A will be conducted via Skype and projected on the big screen
allowing the entire audience to participate.
APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR is the feature
directorial debut for Akhavan who also wrote and stars in the film. She has
been nominated for the Independent Spirit Award for Best First Screenplay for APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR.
APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR is the
story of Shirin (Akhavan) who finds that being part of a perfect Persian family
isn't easy. Acceptance eludes her from all sides: her family doesn't know she's
bisexual, and her ex-girlfriend, Maxine, can't understand why she doesn't tell
them. Following a family announcement of her brother's betrothal to a parentally
approved Iranian prize catch, Shirin embarks on a private rebellion involving a
series of pansexual escapades, while trying to decipher what went wrong with
Maxine.
Tickets to the Q&A
screening of APPROPRIATE
BEHAVIOR are $6 due to Cleveland
Cinemas Bargain Monday policy. Tickets to other screenings are $9.00 for adults
after 6:00 PM, 6:50 for adults before 6:00 PM, $6.00 for seniors 60 and over
and children 12 and under. APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR
screens daily starting January 16th at the Capitol Theatre.
