Found Footage Festival comes to the Beachland Ballroom June 22nd

Event preview by Bob Ignizio

For a decade now, the Found Footage Festival has been collecting video oddities and presenting them to the public. These are the cultural artifacts that no one else wanted to preserve, and which some probably wish had simply vanished from the face of the earth. Strange ephemera like exercise tapes, commercials, bloopers and outtakes, and corporate training videos. The fest even helped launch underground sensation "The Winnebago Man" into his own documentary feature (check out our review here).

Festival curators Joe Pickett and Nick Prueher will be presenting their seventh collection of this weirdness live at the Beachland Ballroom on Sunday June 22nd at 8:00 pm (doors open at 7). According to the festival website, this edition of the festival is, “jam packed with newly unearthed treasures, featuring singing rabbis, petulant news anchors, coughing snake handlers, bodybuilding clowns, and two body parts never before seen in the festival!” How can you pass that up? Admission is $12.00. For more info and to see samples of the kind of stuff that will be screened, visit http://www.foundfootagefest.com/
