[Press release from the Greater Cleveland Film Commission.]

The Greater Cleveland Film Commission today announced that JENNY'S WEDDING will begin shooting in Cleveland on October 28th. Emmy--winning and Golden Globe nominee Katherine Heigl (KNOCKED UP, 27 DRESSES,) two-time Oscar nominee Tom Wilkinson (THE BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL, MICHAEL CLAYTON), two-time Tony Award nominee Linda Emond (JULIE & JULIA) and Grace Gummer (FRANCES HA, LARRY CROWNE) are set to star in the dramedy. JENNY'S WEDDING is written and to be directed by Mary Agnes Donoghue (BEACHES) and produced by Donoghue, Gail Levin and MM Productions' Michelle Manning.

It has been a very busy year for the Greater Cleveland Film Commission with other recent projects "Draft Day," "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," and "Miss Meadows" all choosing Cleveland for all or most of their productions. "Cleveland is resonating within the film industry and we are thrilled that the local workforce has been very busy this year through multiple productions," said Ivan Schwarz, President of the Greater Cleveland Film Commission. "We continue to appreciate the support of Governor Kasich, Executive FitzGerald, and Mayor Jackson for all that they do to support the growing film industry in Cleveland and Ohio. Cleveland is really becoming a great place to make a movie."

"Jenny's Wedding" revolves around Jenny (Heigl) who causes a massive sea-change in the lives of her closely knit, highly conventional family when she finally decides to marry. A pretty and engaging woman, everyone is baffled by Jenny's lack of a love-life, and her parents (Wilkinson, Emond) particularly have been anxious for her to settle down, but when the announcement comes that she is finally going to wed, her choice of partner tears the family apart. In order to reconnect, everyone including Jenny, must reinvent themselves.

Katherine Heigl won an Emmy and was nominated for two Golden--Globes for her role as Dr. "Izzie" Stevens on ABC's "Grey's Anatomy." Her feature film credits include Judd Apatow's box office hit KNOCKED UP, 27 DRESSES, THE UGLY TRUTH, LIFE AS WE KNOW IT and NEW YEAR'S EVE. She will next be seen in NORTH OF HELL co-starring Patrick Wilson currently in post-- production and will lend her voice to THE NUT JOB alongside Will Arnett, Liam Neeson and Brendan Fraser, due out for release in January 2014 through Open Road Films.

Tom Wilkinson is a renowned British actor whose extensive credits include the box office hit THE BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL, THE FULL MONTY, BATMAN BEGINS, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND, SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE and THE DEBT. He has been nominated for two Academy Awards for his roles in MICHAEL CLAYTON opposite George Clooney and IN THE BEDROOM co--starring Sissy Spacek. His upcoming films include 2013 Toronto Film Festival official selection titles FELONY opposite Joel Edgerton and BELLE co--starring Emily Watson and Miranda Richardson to be released by Fox Searchlight in spring 2014.

The Greater Cleveland Film Commission is committed to building a year-round, sustainable statewide film industry through job creation, workforce development, and attracting media production.

According to a Cleveland State University (CSU) study, about 900 full--time equivalent Ohio jobs and $176 million in economic impact were estimated as a result of the 27 projects that took advantage of the Ohio Motion Picture Tax Credit since its 2009 inception. The tax incentive returned $1.20 into the Ohio economy for every $1 invested by the incentive according to the same CSU study. A second study for the most recent two--year period is currently being conducted.
